The Official State Gazette Agency has proposed the development of the website, offering easy and quick access to the daily editions it publishes —Official State Gazette and Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry— and the citizen services that the Agency itself develops and maintains.
On the BOE.es website there are several groups of highlighted contents:
The upper horizontal bar, available continuously on all our websites offers rapid and direct access to the different areas of the portal, search, My BOE and a menu that gives us access to the main services.
When browsing the portal, it might be useful to pay attention to the "breadcrumbs", located in the upper part of the page just beneath the horizontal bar. They allow us to see what page of the portal we are currently and return easily to pages we have already visited.
The portal has been designed to facilitate use with both personal computers and mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. The pages are compatible with recent versions of all the commonly used browsers. Bear in mind that if you use an older version of a browser that is not updated by the developer, in addition to potential security problems, you may encounter problems viewing the contents due to these versions being obsolete.
To view PDF documents it is necessary to have a PDF viewer installed. Many of today’s browsers allow you to view content in these formats without the need to install additional programs. However, you can also use any other program you wish to use.
If you encounter or observe any problem on this website, you may contact us using the web form selecting the desired option from the dropdown menu under "type of query".
In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation, the personal data received directly from the user through the different resources available on the website will be processed confidentially and will be incorporated into the respective processes for which the AEBOE shall be responsible.

The "Official State Gazette" and "Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry”
The Official State Gazette Agency guarantees, through open telecommunications networks, universal access to the electronic edition of the “Official State Gazette” and the electronic edition of the “Official Gazette of the Commercial Registry” under the terms provided for, respectfully, in Royal Decree 181/2008 of 8 February and Royal Decree 1979/2008, of 28 November.
The use, on the part of natural persons or legal entities, of the provisions, acts and announcements published in the official gazettes must, in all cases, be subject to the provisions established in data protection legislation.
According to the provisions of 6.1 g) of Royal Decree 1671/2009, of 6 November, partially developing Law 11/2007, of 22 June, on electronic access to public services for citizens , a link is provided below for the website of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
The Official State Gazette website BOE.es has been developed to ensure it is really accessible to all citizens, in order to guarantee access to existing information and services without limitation or restriction for reasons of special needs, technical factors or the nature of the devices used for browsing.
To do that our website must follow a series of guidelines and recommendations set down by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) www.w3.org/WAI/ Working Group, which forms part of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) www.w3.org. This working group distinguishes three levels of suitability: level 1 (A), level 2 (AA) and level 3 (AAA). The websites of the General State Administration must meet the first two levels of suitability (AA) in order to ensure a sufficient degree of accessibility to the content.
At present (reviewed February 2019) BOE.es meets the guidelines for level 2 of accessibility for practically all its pages and is working on achiving level 3 in the near future. Specifically:
The following keyboard shortcuts have been defined:
The key combinations to use these shortcuts, depending on the browser, are:
The use of the electronic signature to insert announcements in the BOE and BORME, and to submit complaints or suggestions electronically involves the use of additional technology in teh browser (the Autofirma application). The fact that no alternative technology currently exist that makes this signature possible without programming elements at the client end does not mean that the BOE.es website does not comply with accessibility requirements as this is one of the exceptions provided for in the regulation.
The BOE.es website is a dynamic website that incorporates a large quantity of information provided by different Bodies of Administration on a daily basis. The processing of said information and the generation of the corresponding pages must contemplate a multitude of heterogeneous sitruations - use of tables, graphics, different codes, etc. - which constitute important challenges to achieve level 2 accessibility.
The documents belonging to the GAZETA legislative collection —valuable documents of great historical value— are only accessible as images.
Despite everything if we observe or excperience any accessibility problem on the portal, we would appreciate if you could contact us by completing this form to try to remedy it.
